The Oscar nominations were revealed this morning for who is up for the highest honor in the film industry. The reveal was announced by Academy president Cheryl Boone Isaacs, Guillermo del Toro, John Krasinski and Ang Lee.
The awards will be handed out in a ceremony hosted by Chris Rock on February 28 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
The Revenant led all films with 12 nominations and coming in second was the leader of our top 15 of 2015, Mad Max: Fury Road — which scored 10 nods.
More on the nominations themselves and of course the snubs, so stay with The Movie Mensch all day with our don’t-miss Academy Awards column, Oscar Watch.
