Death on the Nile Trailer: Kenneth Branagh Returns to Agatha Christie’s Cinematic Universe

The first trailer for the sequel to Murder on the Orient Express has landed and it firmly places Kenneth Branagh’s Hercule Poirot in the midst of another crime that only he can solve. Death on the Nile, like Murder before it, features an all-star cast—all the more folks to point a guilty finger at when someone turns up dead.

Branagh is perfectly cast as the legendary sleuth, and seeing as he directed both films, one can see why he hooked himself up. But seriously, can you imagine anyone else in 2020 portraying the fiercely just soul that is Poirot? Hardly!

Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman 84) stars as newlywed Linnet Ridgeway Doyle, who has joined her husband Simon Doyle (Armie Hammer) on what promises to be a memorable vacation. The Doyles have brought their friends along for a fun and fancy-free trip down the Egyptian river. Unfortunately, that joy turns to ire as a love triangle goes wrong and produces a murder that only you-know-who can solve!

Joining Branagh, Hammer and Gadot is Russell Brand, Letitia Wright, Annette Bening, Tom Bateman, Emma Mackey, Jennifer Saunders and Sophie Okonedo.
