The first IT movie landed a few years back and many are still unwilling to walk anywhere near a sewer grate. Good news for those of us who love having our world rocked by horror movie baddies, IT Chapter 2 has revealed its latest trailer. The first one was stellar, no question. But there is something about this second IT 2 teaser that has us all sorts of all-in!
The film takes place 27 years after the events of Derry, Maine. The small hamlet was put on the map for all the wrong reasons. That psychotic clown (aren’t they all?) went on a killing kids spree and thanks to the Losers Club, he was sent back (so they thought) to the hell from which he came. Think again!
The classic Stephen King book has riveted and shocked millions of readers since it premiered two decades prior. King has always been so gracious about this film giving his much maligned TV miniseries version from back in the day, and we suspect he will too adore the second chapter.
Casting the members of the Losers Club as adults was a supreme challenge, but one that found those charged with that task triumphing. James McAvoy is Bill Denbrough, Jessica Chastain is Beverly Marsh, Bill Hader is Richie Tozier, Jay Ryan is Ben Hanscom, while James Ransone is Eddie, Andy Bean portrays Stanley while Isaiah Mustafa is Mike Hanlon. The man behind the makeup, i.e. Pennywise, is Bill Skarsgard who returns for his second adventure.
The highly anticipated horror sequel will land in theaters on September 6.
