The Grudge is getting a reboot and for fans of the Sarah Michelle Gellar flick, simply witnessing the first poster should appease those wondering why anyone would tinker with what many consider a classic.
The original SMG flick itself was a remake of a Japanese horror classic and landed in 2004. To mark the 15th anniversary, the reboot has given us the above poster. Front and center on that poster is the cast, which is impressive—Oscar nominee Demian Bechir, horror icon Lin Shaye, Andrea Riseborough, John Cho (who last stunned us in Searching), Jacki Weaver and Betty Gilpin.
The Grudge is coming soon, look for it in theaters on January 3, 2020.
