Spider-Man: Far From Home Trailer: Peter Parker’s European Vacation

The first trailer from Spider-Man: Far From Home has arrived and of all the things Peter Parker (Tom Holland) has packed to take to Europe for a two-week vacation with friends, it’s what he left behind the raises eyebrows. Yup, Parker is not bringing his Spider-Man suit. Guess he’d better hope no one has issues on the Continent.

Soon after his arrival, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) shows up and that usually means trouble is not far behind.

That’s right, Nick Fury is a top-tier character now in two-straight Marvel movies, the March-arriving Captain Marvel and now Spider-Man: Far From Home.

The events of Far From Home appear to take place after those of Avengers: Endgame and as such, it looks like Spidey has recovered from being turned to dust. How that is achieved we will all have to wait until the “final” Avengers movie is released in April. Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters on July 5. Think about that… Captain Marvel in March, Avengers: Endgame in April and Spider-Man: Far From Home in July. That’s a whole lot of Marvel in 2019.

The first trailer introduces Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio, who many will recall is one of the better Spider-Man villains in the canon. Although in this teaser, it appears he’s helping Spider-Man… probably just to have Spidey lower his guard, huh?!

Spider-Man: Far From Home will also star Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau, Marisa Tomei, Cobie Smulders, Angourie Rice, Martin Starr and JB Smoove.
