The Mule Trailer: Clint Eastwood Goes for “The Last One”

Clint Eastwood makes a big return to the silver screen with The Mule. Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for Eastwood’s latest helming effort that chronicles the life of a man in his 80s, faced with financial hardship, who tries to atone for past sins and takes a gig being a drug mule for the Mexican cartel.

The Mule not only has a fascinating premise, but its all-star cast is an enormous selling point as well. It features Bradley Cooper (hot off his directorial debut in A Star is Born), Laurence Fishburne and Michael Pena, along with Diane Wiest and Andy Garcia.

Eastwood’s Earl Stone is penniless. He has no one in his life as everyone who is close to him—relationship-wise—has moved on and away. Stone sees banking a ton of money, quickly, as his ticket back to the lives of all who abandoned him.

Cooper is the DEA agent who believes there is more to Stone than a simple old man trying to live out his days.

Look for The Mule to warm up your holidays when it hits theaters December 14.
