The world may be all abuzz in excitement for the upcoming December 18 release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. But, there’s another Star Wars story that is not too far behind it and now we have our first photo of the cast of Rogue One.
Gareth Edwards (Godzilla) took to the D23 stage in Anaheim and revealed his cast for the story of the daring heist that allowed the rebels to obtain the plans for the Death Star that Luke Skywalker would eventually destroy at the end of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope
Leading the cast is Felicity Jones, recent Oscar nominee for The Theory of Everything. She’ll be joined by Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk and Riz Ahmend. The logo for the first of the Star Wars stand-alone stories was also revealed!
