The Old Man & the Gun Trailer: Robert Redford is “Talking About Living”

One can tell that fall is coming and with the cooler season, the deeper emotional, and dare we say more quality films come to the cinemas—such as the latest from Robert Redford, the charming looking The Old Man and the Gun.

Fox Searchlight has unveiled the first trailer for Redford’s film, which is based on the real-life tale of Forrest Tucker, an elderly gentleman (embodying the highest sense of the latter word), who makes his “living” robbing banks.

Redford is Tucker, who has spent his entire life heisting banks and eluding the law. Even when he got caught, Tucker found ways to escape. This film not only looks like it is wholeheartedly entertaining, but also utterly fascinating on every level.

It also boasts a sensational cast, as do many fall films. It features Oscar winners Redford, Sissy Spacek and Casey Affleck. It also features Danny Glover, Tom Waits and Tika Sumpter.

A Ghost Story helmer David Lowery is the magic man behind this film that he wrote and directed. It lands in theaters September 28.
