Skyscraper Trailer: Dwayne Johnson’s Die Hard in a Tower, Wait…

Dwayne Johnson already has two hits under his belt in 2018 — Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Rampage. Will he go three-for-three? You decide as the trailer for the third of his films, Skyscraper, has dropped from Universal.

Johnson is a security expert, hired to keep an eye on things at a newly opened super tower that is now the biggest building on the planet. The company that owns the building has moved Johnson and his wife (Neve Campbell) and their kids into the high-rise as just one of the perks of such a high-profile gig.

The action superstar plays a former FBI Hostage Rescue Team head who now makes his living surveying the security risks of the reach for the sky buildings of the world. This newest one is special, sure because it’s the world’s latest, but it is the challenge at the heart of the job description. Securing a building that houses a population that would equal a small city brings the same risks and criminal presence as that smaller municipality. Only thing, the law in this vertical community starts and ends with Johnson and he has little help.

So, when things go south (as I’m sure you guessed they would), Johnson kicks into action.

We finally have that Die Hard in a building movie we’ve been waiting for… wait, wasn’t Die Hard in a… oh, right.

Skyscraper lands July 13 and also s tars Byron Mann, Noah Taylor, Chin Han and Roland Møller.
