Ever wonder what the experience of Civil War was for Spider-Man? I mean, that was essentially his introduction to The Avengers! In typical fashion for a teenager, it was documented by Peter Parker (Tom Holland) via his cell phone and that, my friends, is our first four minutes of Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Brilliant, right?!
That is just the tip of the awesome iceberg that is Spider-Man: Homecoming. More on that soon as our review is set to premiere any day now.
Spider-Man returns home (thus the title, which also works as it is Homecoming Dance time for our super teenager) and tries to return to a life that has to be different, given all that he’s gone through. He’s eager to rejoin the Avengers for some sort of mission. But when the phone doesn’t ring, Parker – aka Spider-Man – decides to fight crime in his hometown (New York City) on his own… with mixed results!
Mentoring him all the way is Happy (Jon Favreau) and of course Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.).
It all adds up to one awesome thrill ride.
Don’t miss Spider-Man: Homecoming when it hits theaters July 7.
