For fans of the Cars series, June 16 cannot arrive quickly enough. Lucky for you, Pixar and Walt Disney has released the Cars 3 trailer to whet your need for speed appetite.
Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) is back and as the film begins we find him shockingly removed from his life as a racer, something that defines him and gives him his purpose. But, there is a way back and it involves tapping the talents of Cruz Ramirez, the race tech who has her own plan on how to speed your way to victory in today’s cut-throat world of speed racing.
Cars 3 not only features the return of Wilson’s vocal talents, but also Larry the Cable Guy, Bonnie Hunt and Cheech Marin. Armie Hammer, Cristela Alonzo, Kerry Washington, Lea DeLaria and Nathan Fillion join the cast.
The first two Cars movies have banked just over a billion dollars. Yes, that’s billion with a “b.”
