The Shallows has unveiled a new trailer for the upcoming survival thriller, starring Blake Lively, and it has us putting the Jaume Collet-Serrra directed film firmly on our summer must-see list.
Lively stars as Nancy, a surfer who has gone on holiday to “paradise,” who quickly discovers that it is anything but.
A Great White Shark attacks her and she fights back and manages to swim away to a tiny rock formation. Soon, the shark attacks two other surfers, leaving her alone in this tropical hideaway. Two-Hundred yards away from dry land, her fight to stay alive becomes the thrill a moment tension of The Shallows.
Collet-Serra is no stranger to building suspense. His last two films, starring Liam Neeson, were Run All Night and Non-Stop. Look for it to open on June 24.
