The teaser trailer for J.K. Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them debuted last night during the MTV Movie Awards. To say that it is utterly magic is a gross understatement
Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne stars as Newt Scamander, a wizard who has crossed the planet to document the magical creatures he’s discovered during his journey. We meet him as he has landed in New York City, complete with a suitcase full of a few of these magical souls.
Rowling wrote her first screenplay for Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, based on the book within her Harry Potter movies that served as an instructional manual for Harry Potter and other Wizarding trainees.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them also stars Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, Colin Farrell, Jenn Murray, Jon Voight, Carmen Ejogo, Gemma Chan and Faith Wood-Blagrove.
The story takes place in 1926 and from what we can tell from the above teaser, Rowling has weaved a web of Wizarding magic once again.
Look for the film, directed by four-time Harry Potter helmer David Yates, on November 18.
