MTV Movie Awards Nominees Revealed: The Force Awakens Leads with 11


MTV has announced the nominees for its annual jaunt into the Hollywood awards business. The nominees for the 2016 MTV Movie Awards finds the movie that also won the 2015 box office race, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, will make up for its lack of Oscars with 11 nominations, including Movie of the Year.

Also nominated for the awards’ top honor is Straight Outta Compton, Creed, Deadpool, Jurassic World, Avengers: Age of Ultron.

The awards will be hosted by Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson and be handed out on April 10.

MTV announced two new categories that will receive their first awards this year, top True Story and best Documentary.
