For those going through Harry Potter withdrawal after the series came to a close with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, the news that Warner Bros. and J.K. Rowling were working on a spin-off could not have been a better headline to read. The first title treatment for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them has been released and it is as magical and mysterious as one would expect from the mind of the uber-talented Rowling.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is based on the textbook found within the Harry Potter movies and brings to life the world of wizards and, well, fantastic beasts!
The film will star Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterson, Ezra Miller, Colin Farrell, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Carmen Ejogo, Jon Voight and will be directed by David Yates. Yates helmed the final four Harry Potter films, so fans… the continuing legacy of the Wizarding World is in extremely good hands.
Look for the film in 3D and IMAX on November 18, 2016.
