The official Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer has premiered and it immediately gave us haunting chills from head to toe. The teaser was released to announce the ability for fans to go online and purchase tickets for the film’s opening in December and that proved so popular, it even crashed the ticket selling site Fandango!
As for the teaser itself, we get new footage of Harrison Ford’s Han Solo and his Wookie sidekick, as well as a warm embrace between Carrie Fisher’s Princess Leia and Solo. There also appears to be a moment where Oscaar Isaac’s tie-fighter is getting his mind messed with by someone on the dark side of The Force.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is helmed by J.J. Abrams, and also stars Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Max Von Sydow and Peter Mayhew. Some may wonder where Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker is in the above teaser… oh, he’s in there! Just look closely.
The seventh Star Wars movie hits theaters December 18 with evening shows debuting the night before on December 17.
