There’s a new Predator flick–called Prey–, and honestly, it may be the best of the bunch. The Movie Mensch video reviews kick off our look at this week’s flicks with a film with no “name” stars, some majorly excellent sci-fi effects, and a down-to-earth organic manner of fighting, which ironically, our little Predator may have met his match. There is good reason this species didn’t come back to earth until the 1980s!
It takes place in the early 1700 Great Plains and surrounds the Comanche people and their way of life. When they think a large animal is threatening their peaceful existence, they are terrified to discover that it isn’t an animal at all. Well, at first no one believes our protagonist, the stellar and star-making turn of Amber Midthunder as Nara. She is a revelation.
