Last Night in Soho Trailer: Anya Taylor Joy & Edgar Wright’s Wicked Tale

As an enormous fanatic for the film Baby Driver, no matter what director Edgar Wright came up with next, it would is instantly a must-see. That next feature is Last Night in Soho and its first teaser trailer has premiered from Focus Features, starring Anya Taylor Joy.

This is Wright’s first true venture into a deeply cerebral/horror type picture. It also should be noted that it earned the moniker “teaser” as that is all Wright’s trailer for Last Night in Soho achieves—it teases.

We know extraordinarily little about the plot and even less about who each performer is playing. It alludes to everything… and it’s amazing.

By utilizing a dark cover of the classic tune from Petula Clark, Downtown, which was performed by Taylor-Joy!), a tone has been set.

What else we gleaned from the trailer is the storytelling is playing with time, specifically time-travel. It appears to take place in the 60s and where it goes from there… well, you’ll just have to watch the film when it opens in theaters October 22.

Last Night in Soho also stars Matt Smith, Terence Stamp, and Jesie Mei Li.
