An all-star cast has joined forces, both on-screen and off, in the Simon Kinberg film, The 355. Jessica Chastain, Diane Kruger, Penelope Cruz, and Lupita Nyong’o star as spies from all corners of the globe who come together to, well… save the world.
The story follows a CIA agent, Mason “Mace” Brown (Chastain) who forms a team of like-minded clandestine souls that includes a rival German agent Marie (Kruger), Colombian Graciela (Cruz), and a former MI6 cohort and IT specialist (Nyong’o) to retrieve a weapon that has fallen into the wrong hands.
Kinberg wrote (with Theresa Rebeck) and directed the espionage thriller that promises to pack a punch when it is released on January 15, 2021.
These superstar superspies have their work cut out for them because of the presence of a mysterious woman who goes by the name of Lin Mi Sheng (Fan Bingbing). Sheng appears to be one step ahead of the team with every move.
The 355 promises to have a classic spy feel as it crisscrosses the globe from Shanghai to Morocco and Paris.
Kinberg has been the writer behind the Star Trek reboot with J.J. Abrams and of course the latest films in the X-Men series. He helmed X-Men: Dark Phoenix, but let’s not hold that against him as his latest appears to be the real deal Holyfield.
The storyteller’s latest also stars Marvel alum Sebastian Stan and Edger Ramirez.
