No Time to Die Introduces Rami Malek’s Villain, Safin

Hot on the heels of that scorching No Time to Die trailer, filmmakers have released a featurette that introduces us to what seems to be billed as one of Bond’s biggest and baddest foes. Rami Malek is Safin, a man who will stop at nothing to achieve his nefarious goals. That descriptor could work for any of 007’s baddies, but there is something uniquely terrifying about what Malek brings to the table.

This guy is willing to kill millions and decimate the planet in the process. Sounds like the kind of villain that could pull Daniel Craig’s Bond out of retirement in Jamaica by Felix (Jeffrey Wright) in the opening act of No Time to Die.

Malek addresses us in the clip above, and we get a little bit more info on his character—such as his connection to Lea Seydoux’s Madeline Swann. The actor has also let us know that Safin utilizes technology and isn’t driven by any kind of methodology or ideology, making him immeasurably dangerous.

Look for No Time to Die in theaters November 20.
