STX Films has released the first trailer from The Secret Garden. The film is based on the Frances Hodgson Burnett novel. The film will take the 1900s English set beloved Burnett piece of literary perfection and move the landscape to 1947 England.
The film follows a young orphan girl (introducing Dixie Egerickx) who leaves London behind and moves in with her uncle. There, she discovers she has a cousin—who is confined to a wheelchair. She discovers a magical garden, just beyond the wall of her uncle’s estate. As the film is from the producer of Harry Potter and the Paddington movies, except a whole lot of heartwarming sentiment served with your emotive thrills.
Colin Firth and Julie Walters fill out the cast for the excellent-looking film that is set to land in theaters later this year.
