That first Top Gun: Maverick trailer relied heavily on nostalgia. The latest, which debuted today, does a little bit of that for sure, but lets us in on a little bit more of what exactly this sequel, that was 20 years in the making, brings to the table.
The Top Gun sequel (to a movie that landed 34 years ago!) finds Cruise’s Pete “Maverick” Mitchell now serving as an instructor at Top Gun school, aka the Naval Fighter Weapons School at Naval Air Station Miramar.
This time out, the cast includes Jon Hamm, Ed Harris, Miles Teller, Val Kilmer (reprising his role as Iceman) and Jennifer Connelly.
