Little by little, Pixar has been revealing a little more about its upcoming film with each successive Onward trailer. That first teaser, gave us nothing, then the second trailer let us know what this world is all about and now the third trailer… well, just watch it below!
Onward stars the voice talent of a couple of Marvel heroes, Spider-Man himself, Tom Holland, and Chris Pratt, aka Star Lord! The duo portray brothers who are elves living in a post fantasy world that still has its moments of magical magnificence.
The Lightfoot brothers are on a question. After all, it’s the younger’s sixteenth birthday and that means that mom has a special gift for him. When both boys were 16 or older, mom was set to give the boys a piece of their father (who died when the younger boy was just a baby). It’s a magic staff and used correctly, can bring back good old dad for one day. Things don’t go quite as they planned, and we’re off on that quest!
The flick was directed by Dan Scanlon (who dazzled with his work on another Pixar gem, Monsters University). It also stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus, John Ratzenberger (a Pixar favorite) and Oscar winner Octavia Spencer.
