Final The Irishman Trailer Spotlights Scorsese’s Brilliance

The last trailer for Martin Scorsese’s epic The Irishman, from Netflix, has premiered. It’s a stunner.

Scorsese’s latest brings him back to the world of mob cinema, a place he could not be more comfortable. It tandems Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, Al Pacino and a bevy of brilliant actors in one of the most compelling, riveting and powerful films of the year.

De Niro is a heavy for Pacino’s Jimmy Hoffa, Teamsters President. Meanwhile, Pesci is a mob mentor to De Niro’s Frank “The Irishman” Sheeran. On the latter’s death bed, he claimed to have killed Hoffa. In Scorsese’s mind-blowing stunner, the evidence is all there …

Netflix will premiere the flick on its streaming service November 27, but it is playing currently in select theaters. What’s so fascinating is that The Irishman may be the legendary filmmaker’s greatest cinematic achievement. Yes, I said it. It may be featured by a streaming giant, but it is about as pure as cinema gets.

The Irishman also stars Ray Romano, Bobby Cannavale, Anna Paquin, Stephen Graham, Stephanie Kurtzuba, Jack Huston, Kathrine Narducci, Jesse Plemons, Domenick Lombardozzi, Paul Herman, Gary Basaraba and Marin Ireland.
