The first full trailer for the scandalous Bombshell has arrived and as if the subject matter wasn’t enough to get you interested, the cast will.
Oscar winners Charlize Theron is Megyn Kelly and Nicole Kidman is Gretchen Carlson, while Oscar nominee Margot Robbie is Kayla Pospisil. The flick also features John Lithgow as Roger Ailes.
The film chronicles the Fox News scandal that found women at the “news” network were treated terribly in every sense of the word. History has shown what a purveyor of perv Ailes was, and alas he has been removed from the channel. One could argue, though, that not much has changed in the corporate culture at the channel that skews to the right of center politically.
Bombshell is written by Charles Randolph (The Big Short) and directed by Jay Roach (the stunning Game Change).
We have much hope for this film when it lands December 20, not only to garner serious Oscar buzz, but to also remind people as it shines a light on the folks at Fox News that spouting truths is not their strong suit.
