The Gentlemen Trailer: Guy Ritchie Returns to His Crime Cinema Roots

Guy Ritchie is back to his crime soaked cinema roots! The first trailer for The Gentlemen has arrived and boy oh boy is it awesome.

The film stars Matthew McConaughey as one of the biggest weed dealers in London. Someone comes along (Hugh Grant) and wants a piece of the pie—if not the entire pie and everything that comes with it. McConaughey is married to Downton Abbey’s Michelle Dockery and his right hand man is played by Charlie Hunnam. Among the baddies here, that are helping Grant, are Henry Golding. The film also stars Colin Farrell, Eddie Marsan and Jeremy Strong.

What. A. Cast!

This film appears to hark back to the filmmaker’s roots, what with his announcements of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and my personal favorite (among my top 10 of all-time), Snatch. So yeah, I’m a little excited for this journey down a Ritchie rabbit hole.

STXfilms is releasing the thriller on January 24, 2020.
