The Addams Family Trailer: Animated Flick Features All-Star Cast

Those Addams Family movies from back in the day were hugely entertaining and featured what has to be labeled as brilliant casting. What with the late, great, Raul Julia portraying Gomez and Angelica Houston killing it as Morticia—and who could forget the star-making turn of Christina Ricci as Wednesday. With the upcoming animated flick from MGM, the first trailer has arrived and yet again, the wow factor arrives in the form of the stellar cast.

Oscar Isaac is Gomez and Charlize Theron puts her own slamming stamp on Morticia. The delightfully morbid couple anchor a family that is unlike any other, as seen in the classic black and white TV show, the two 90s movies and a family that was first introduced to the world in 1938 through single-panel cartoons in The New Yorker.

The 2019 animated film, that lands in theaters October 11, comes from Sausage Party helmers Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan.

The cast is filled out by Chloe Grace Moretz as Wednesday (a solid choice), Finn Wolfhard (of Stranger Things fame) as Pugsley, Nick Kroll as Uncle Fester (brilliant casting), Bette Midler as Grandmama and Allison Janney as the always seeking to destroy the family nemesis, Margaux Needler.

Enjoy the trailer? Let’s just say, we’re looking for more in subsequent trailers and clips. But, MGM, you have our attention.
