Long Shot Trailer: Charlize Theron Falls for Seth Rogen in Political Comedy

The first trailer for Lionsgate’s Long Shot has arrived and I’m quite intrigued. The film stars Charlize Theron as the Secretary of State, someone who also is considering a run for the White House.

She enlists a prolific political writer, Seth Rogen, to pump up her campaign rhetoric. Sparks will fly because Rogen’s character, we learn, always had a crush on Theron. See… she was his babysitter!

The film is rated R, which is great considering you have Rogen in the cast and his riffs on the more colorful side always enhance a flick… Neighbors anyone?

Director Adam Levine is behind the camera and the guy who worked previously with Rogen on the “cancer comedy” 50/50 knows how to deliver laughs while still keeping things somewhat serious.

Long Shot debuts in theaters everywhere on May 3 and also features a stellar cast that includes Andy Serkis, Randall Park, Alexander Skarsgard, O’Shea Jackson (Straight Outta Compton), Ravi Patel and June Diane Raphael.
