One day after achieving a lifelong dream of hosting the Academy Awards, Kevin Hart is out.
The comedian faced a stiff backlash after past homophobic Tweets came to light. Hart, graciously,decided that he did not want to be a distraction to the entire Oscar affair,and bowed out.
“I have made the choice to step down from hosting this year’s Oscar’s. This is because I do not want to be a distraction on a night that should be celebrated by so many amazing talented artists,” Hart said on his Twitter feed. “I sincerely apologize to the LGBTQ community for my insensitive words from my past.”
No word yet on who will replace Hart. Might we suggest his Night School co-star, Tiffany Haddish?
