The trailer for the stunningly gorgeous Vox Lux has arrived and it appears at first glance to be a cinematic knockout.
The story follows a young Celeste (Raffey Cassidy) who has survived a school shooting. With the help of her sister Elanor (Stacy Martin), and manager (portrayed by Jude Law), she becomes a pop music superstar.
That is the first half of the tale, the story then jumps several years ahead, and friends Celeste portrayed by Natalie Portman. The pressures of pop culture superstardom is weighing on her and the trauma of her past is bound to rear its ugly ahead again in her future.
While going through all of this, Celeste is also trying to be the best mother she can to her own daughter (Albertine, also played by Cassidy).
Joining the ensemble in this stunning looking feature from director Brady Corbetis Willem Dafoe and Jennifer Ehle.
Look for it in theaters December 7.
