The latest The Happytime Murders red band trailer arrives with the film’s release date merely weeks away. The highly anticipated comedy, starring Melissa McCarthy (Life of the Party), takes us into a world where puppets and humans live (and love?!) side-by-side.
McCarthy’s cop has her hands full when it appears that a serial killer is targeting puppets. She and her felt partner, Phil Philips (voiced by Bill Barretta), are on the case and the deeper they go, the funnier the film gets.
After showing the film to a select group of preview audiences, STX films realized they had a potential late-summer hit on their hands. As such, this NSFW trailer features a slew of adoring Twitter response to the comedy that lands August 24.
The Happytime Murders also stars Elizabeth Banks, Joel McHale and Maya Rudolph.
