Fantastic Beasts The Crimes of Grindelwald Trailer: Johnny Depp Delivers Evil

The new trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is bloody fantastic. How could it not be? Between the “young” Dumbledore (Jude Law) and the first true scenes with the devilishly evil Grindelwald (Johnny Depp), this thing looks ah-mazing!

During the Warner Bros. presentation in Hall H at the 2018 Comic-Con, the David Yates directed fantasy from the mind of J.K. Rowling unveiled its latest, and most magical Fantastic Beasts 2 trailer.

We love how the film (and the first one) harks back to a muggle-wizard world of the 1920s. The first Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them had the drama firmly in New York City. Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) headed to that city with a bag full of… well, beasts, and this time out he and a few friends are heading to Paris (and we also get to visit… Hogwarts!).

The action takes place when Albus Dumbledore taps Scamander (a magizoologist) to find the evil Gellert Grindelwald and put his evil aspirations to rest. The fragile peace between muggles and humans hang in the balance as Grindelwald is building an army that will be no match for our magic-less souls in Rowling’s Wizarding World.

Fantastic Beasts 2 also brings back Katherine Waterston and Dog Fogler, and also stars Alison Sudol, Zoe Kravitz, Ezra Miller, Callum Turner, and Claudia Kim.

Prepare for the magic when Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald opens up that stellar Rowling imagination on November 16.
