Once Upon a Time in Hollywood First Look: Brad Pitt & Leonardo DiCaprio in Quentin Tarantino’s True Tale

On paper, the ninth film in the filmography of Quentin Tarantino, Once Upon a Time in America,  looks amazing. Now, we have our initial visual representation of what to expect from the auteur’s latest. A first photo has dropped of stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt doing their best Hollywood, circa 1969,

Looks like filming has commenced on Tarantino’s latest epic. The story follows Pitt and DiCaprio, who are a former Western TV star and his best pal, stunt double, who happen to live next door to Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie).

This is an interesting time in Hollywood. The hippie world is taking over Tinsel Town and it is not necessarily met with open arms by the community as a whole at first.

What some are referring to as “Tarantino’s Manson film” will certainly focus on the notorious serial killer’s cultish life and how his followers murdered Tate and it could be argued—put a nail in the coffin of the hippie style in the Entertainment Capitol of the World.

The all-star cast also includes Al Pacino, Timothy Olyphant, Burt Reynolds, Luke Perry, Damian Lewis, Clifton Collins, Dakota Fanning, Tim Roth, Emile Hirsch, Nicholas Hammond, Scoot McNairy and Michael Madsen.

So, how long do we have to wait till we get to see this should-be masterpiece?

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood hits theaters August 9, 2019. We last saw a Tarantino flick in theaters when The Hateful Eight knocked us out.
