Philip Reeve’s book Mortal Engines has long been known to be getting the big screen treatment by none other than The Lord of the Rings master Peter Jackson (and his co-writers Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens). Thanks to Universal Pictures, we now have our first full length trailer for Mortal Engines!
Reeve’s book (and the film) takes place in the future where cities have been uprooted and now traverse the planet on enormous wheels. This is not a passive world. The roaming locales are at constant war and hope for the future appears to be at a minimum.
Our heroes come in the form of two souls who join forces to hopefully alter the fate of the world.
Mortal Engines stars Hugo Weaving, Hera Hilmar, Robert Sheehan, Jihae, Leila George, Ronan Raftery, Colin Salmon, Patrick Malahide, Rege-Jean Page and Stephen Lang.
