Mission Impossible Fallout Trailer: Ethan Being Ethan

Often times, movie studios release teaser trailer, full length trailers and so on until it seems we’ve seen the entire movie before it has hit theaters. After that sensational first (and some would argue best teaser of the year) Mission Impossible: Fallout trailer, it is hardly a surprise that Paramount did not feel the need to give us another one for weeks on end. Well, time’s up and we have our second trailer for the sixth installment of the Tom Cruise blockbuster series.

This trailer has a bit of a different feel than the first one and that is an example of keen awareness on the part of all involved in the Mission Impossible franchise. We delve a little deeper into the plot, into the character arcs and most importantly, the cost to all involved should things go south in the world of espionage of the highest order.

Cruise and his legendary “I’ll do the stunts myself” method of movie making is on full display, including the one where he broke his ankle (look for him jumping out of a window, per the request of his spy cohort Simon Pegg). They also get a few moments where his fellow spies let out an “Oh my G-d,” as he does what he does. That’s what we are all saying in the audience, after all!

Mission Impossible: Fallout hits theaters July 27 and is one of the most anticipated movies of the entire warmer season. Cruise is joined by MI veterans Ving Rhames, Rebecca Ferguson, Michelle Monaghan and Alec Baldwin. Joining the franchise is Henry Cavill and Angela Bassett.

Cue up that famous theme song and let’s get ready for our next Mission.
