Antoine Fuqua has been a filmmaker-to-watch for The Movie Mensch for years now. Denzel Washington has grabbed us by the lapels with his thespian talent since we first witnessed him on St. Elsewhere all those decades ago. Together, the pair came together for 2014’s The Equalizer. To no one who has followed either man’s career, it was an enormous success. That world, based on the iconic television show, is back for a sequel and we have your first look with the movie’s first trailer.
Washington is back as Robert McCall, a retired special agent who now uses his talents for good in helping those in need.
This is the first sequel for both Washington and Fuqua, and from the looks of things, they follow all those rules for cinematic follow-ups.
The stakes are higher.
The action is more intense.
Characters we care about do not make it, thus elevating the tension ever higher!
The Equalizer 2 looks like it has it all. Again… Fuqua and Washington together again — just print the tickets already!
