The latest, and reportedly final, trailer for Deadpool 2 has landed and Fox and the filmmakers behind the Ryan Reynolds staring sensation have pulled out all the superhero-reference stops.
Our hero, aka DP, references Thanos, the DC Universe and several other tongue-in-cheek items in the latest teaser for the film that is set to rock audiences May 18.
Reynolds returns to the role that catapulted him to a whole new universe of stardom. DP 2 features Josh Brolin as Cable, in what will be his second villainous turn in a superhero flick in as many months. Of course, he is Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War (thus the quip from Deadpool in the teaser below about Thanos needing to pump the “hate brakes.”)
Atomic Blonde director David Leitch takes over the helming duties, thus promising an action fest unlike exists on the cinematic landscape currently. Terry Crews joins the crew as Bedlam, Lewis Tan is Shatterstar, Rob Delaney is the wickedly effective assassin Peter. Zazie Beets is Domino, rounding out Deadpool’s X-Force team.
Morena Baccarin and T.J. Miller both return from the original Deadpool as DP’s love interest and BFF, respectively.
