Avengers Infinity War Character Posters: Gorgeous AND Informative

The character posters have landed for the upcoming film that could easily win the award for most anticipated flick of the year, Avengers: Infinity War. To mark the fact that the film that is ten years in the making is merely weeks away, Disney and Marvel Studios have unleashed a pristine quintet of character posters.

What is most fascinating about this is that the marketing teams behind the April 27 arriving film is that they could have issued individual character posters for the myriad of souls that inhabit the Russo brothers film.

Instead, they have given us five with a painfully clear statement that our heroes will be divided in the upcoming third Avengers flick… all in an effort to destroy the being who seeks to destroy the universe, the evillest villain of them all — Thanos (Josh Brolin).

So, judging by the posters (that are utterly stunning in design, color, tone and action), it looks like Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and the Guardians of the Galaxy (Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista and the voices of Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel) are joined. Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Vision (Paul Bettany), Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and War Machine (Don Cheadale) share space. As we know from that latest Avengers: Infinity War trailer, with them in Wakanda (but getting their own blue-hue poster) is Captain America (Chris Evans), Bucky (Sebastian Stan) and Shuri (Letitia Wright). Also in the African nation will be the group from the next poster with its green tone — Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and Hulk (Mark Ruffalo). Last but not least, we have the red (appropriately given its leader’s hue) poster featuring Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and Wong (Benedict Wong).

Captain America: Civil War scribes Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely penned the screenplay with Joe and Anthony Russo tackling their first Avengers flick after triumphing work on that third Cap film.
