The latest, and greatest, Sicario: Day of the Soldado trailer has landed and it paints a vaster landscape than we even saw in that first Sicario: Day of the Soldado trailer.
Josh Brolin and Benecio Del Toro return from the first Sicario (noticeably absent is the film’s first star, Emily Blunt).
The two have been tasked to “start a war with everyone” all to stop the Mexican drug cartels from interacting with international terrorists. As we see from the trailer below, Brolin’s secret agent gives Del Toro’s character the green light to take his activities from the first film up a notch.
Only problem… it might start a war with the Mexican government.
Taylor Sheridan (Hell or High Water) returns as screenwriter, with Stefano Sollima taking the reins behind the camera.
Look for Sicario: Day of the Soldado on June 29.
