The first trailer for Walt Disney Animation’s highly anticipated Moana has landed! Hot on the heels of the Moana poster that landed yesterday, this first look at the Pacific Island-set musical adventure has to easily push this feature to the top of everyone’s fall movie must-see list.
The CG-animated feature follows a spunky titular teenager (voiced by newcomer Auli‘i Cravalho) who teams up with a demigod named Maui (Dwayne Johnson), who hopes that his best days are not behind him. The pair go on a journey to help the youngster and her dream of becoming a master wayfinder.
The film also stars the voices of Jemaine Clement as Tamatoa, Rachel House as Gramma Tala, Temuera Morrison plays Moana’s father, Chief Tui, Nicole Scherzinger is Moana’s mother, Sina, and Alan Tudyk provides the voice of Heihei.
Moana is directed by the filmmaking team that gave us The Little Mermaid and Aladdin, as well as The Princess and the Frog, Ron Clements and John Musker.
Look for Moana to make more Disney magic on November 23.
