That demonic doll is back! Remember that utterly adorable (uh, not!) doll from The Conjuring and how she got her own origins story film, Annabelle? Well, she’s baaaaack!
Warner Bros. has released the teaser trailer for Annabelle 2. The film is directed by David F. Sandberg (who recently gave us the stellar Lights Out) and comes from the producing team of Peter Safran and James Wan (The Conjuring movies).
The film stars Stephanie Sigman, Talitha Bateman, Lulu Wilson, Anne Coulthard, Grace Fulton Tayler Buck, Anthony LaPaglia and Samara Lee.
The film comes from a screenplay by Gary Dauberman, who penned the first film, so you know we’re looking at a seamless sequel from those first scares!
WB also unveiled the film’s synopsis:
In Annabelle 2, several years after the tragic death of their little girl, a dollmaker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home, soon becoming the target of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle.
Look for Annabelle 2 in theaters May 19, 2017.
