That means in no uncertain terms that the third Star Trek movie since J.J. Abrams rebooted it is merely weeks away. Celebrating that fact, Paramount Studios released the final Star Trek Beyond trailer and it is astounding for many reasons.
First, the emotive power of the teaser is on full display as we get a true feeling of the high price that all the characters are paying throughout this journey. Second, our favorite captain of the Enterprise truly rises to the occasion and earns the last name he was born with. Third, Rihamna!

Yup, Rihanna sings the theme song to the latest film, directed by Justin Lin. Her song Sledgehammer, debuts on the soundtrack of the film due on July 22, just a few weeks away. Her soaring vocals, plus those stunning visuals and that powerful emotion we spoke of earlier… should add up to something truly special when Star Trek Beyond hits theaters.
Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin and John Cho return to their iconic roles. Joining the series is Idris Elba, Sofia Boutella and Joe Taslim.
