The biggest battle in the DC universe is about to come home as Warner Bros. Home Entertainment announced today that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice — starring Henry Cavill as Superman and making his debut as Batman, Ben Affleck — will arrive on DVD, Blu-Ray and on digital formats very, very soon!
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition is set to land on home video on Digital HD on June 28 and on Blu-Ray Combo Pack and DVD on July 19.
The world is wrestling with the knowledge that someone from another world, Superman, has come to Earth and everyone is wondering whether he is a hero or something far more sinister. Since that time, he has proved to be the former, with many comparing him to a God. But others, are still not so sure… especially a certain Dark Knight in neighboring Gotham.
Their two worlds will collide, and they will not be alone as we discover a few more (Future) members of the Justice League along the way. Most notably, Wonder Woman (with Gal Gadot making a triumphant debut).
The Batman v Superman Ultimate Edition features tons of bonus features that takes us inside the making of the Zack Snyder directed blockbuster and may just highlight a few hidden treasures along the way as well. First off, it features an extended cut of the film, which spotlights 30 more minutes of story and action sequences not seen in theaters. This extended cut is rated R.
The film also stars Oscar nominees Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Diane Lane and Laurence Fishburne as well as Oscar winners Jeremy Irons and Holly Hunter.
