The latest Warcraft trailer has landed and director Duncan Jones has not got us seriously intrigued about his big screen adaptation of the wildly popular video game. The first teaser and trailers left us more confused than compelled, but that is so not the cast this time out
Legendary Pictures and Universal Pictures have unveiled the latest trailer from the man who dazzled us with his debut feature Moon and his sophomore film, Source Code. The son of David Bowie is an impressive storyteller and if anyone can bring a video game with a vast and varied landscape of worlds and characters, it is Jones.
The world of Azeroth was peaceful and placid, but that is about to be destroyed as a force of Orc warriors are leaving their homes trying to find another. A portal opens that connects these two worlds and as one group faces destruction, the other will come face-to-face with extinction. As is repeatedly said in the trailer above, if they don’t join forces, they all will die. Will they?
Warcraft stars Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Ben Foster, Dominic Cooper, Toby Kebbell, Ben Schnetzer, Rob Kazinsky and Daniel Wu.
Look for War(craft) to break out on June 10.
