James Wan took a wee bit of a break from the horror movie genre that launched him into the pop culture spotlight to make Furious 7. After that triumph, he returned to his roots and announced that he would be helming The Conjuring 2. Fans were thrilled and for another dose of joy, check out the newly release poster for the sequel to horror hit The Conjuring.
The Conjuring 2 lands in theaters June 10 and brings back Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine Warren (Vera Farmiga) the demonologists who are the best at what they do. The film follows another real-life cast from their files of jaw-dropping terror that finds them heading to the British capital to do their best to fight back a demon.
The first Conjuring film banked $319 million internationally and has the proud distinction of being the second-highest grossing horror movie of all time. Guess who’s number one? Yup, The Exorcist!
Madison Wolfe, Frances O’Connor, Patrick McAuley, Simon Delaney, Simon McBurney, Franka Potente and Lauren Esposito round out the cast.
