Finding Dory: Meet the Cast of Characters!

As one can see from the latest Finding Dory trailer, although firmly grounded in the landscape of Finding Nemo, this sequel is truly a whole new world.

Knowing that, Disney has released a series of photos, along with the announcement of the cast, to fill in the blanks as to who exactly will be inhabiting this all-new Dory world when Finding Dory lands in theaters June 17.

Coming back from the first film will be, of course, Dory (Ellen DeGeneres), Marlin (Albert Brooks, his son Nemo (Hayden Rolence) Crush (Andrew Stanton), Mr. Ray (Bob Peterson) and Squirt (Bennett Dammann)

Joining the cast will be Ed O’Neill as an Octopus named Hank. His Modern Family co-star Ty Burrell wil voice a beluga whale named Bailey, while a pair of sea lions named Rudder and Fluke will be voiced by Idris Elba and Dominic West. And in a stroke of casting genius, Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy have been tapped to play Dory’s parents, Jenny and Charlie.

Finding Dory will find our favorite sea creatures living their life six months after the first film ended. When Dory goes with Nemo on a class trip to see manta rays migrating, she feels something she has never felt before – a longing to discover where she comes from. Our favorite forgetful fish will embark on a journey to find her family, with a little help from her friends.

Andrew Stanton (John Carter) is back to direct the sequel to the first film that put him on the map.
