The film from the writer-director (who also gave us the stunner Mud) follows a father (Shannon) who hits the road to protect his son Alton (Jaeden Lieberher). His boy has special powers that cannot be explained. Yet, the government would love to get their hands on the youngster to discover what makes him tick. Daddy will do anything to prevent that from happening.

As you can see from the above trailer, the film has a powerful cast including Star Wars: The Force Awakens baddie Adam Driver, Joel Edgerton, Kristen Dunst and Sam Shepard.

Midnight Special commences as a father trying to keep his son away from religious zealots and local law enforcement, and rapidly turns into a race against time where father and son tries to outsmart and outrace the federal government.

Prepare to experience one-of-a-kind thrills and heartwarming elements of Midnight Special, on March 16.
