After surprising the world with a movie that seemed to be made with utter secrecy, J.J. Abrams released that 10 Cloverfield Lane trailer and captivated the attention of all his fans and all those who adored his Cloverfield film from several years back. He surprised us yet again as the producer of 10 Cloverfield Lane released a Super Bowl spot during the most televised event of the entire year and it told us even more about the film that lands March 11.
10 Cloverfield Lane is set to be a “cousin” to Cloverfield and from what we can detect from the Super Bowl trailer, John Goodman has saved Mary Elizaabeth Winstead from a car accident and it appears, so much more. There’s something amuck with the world and Goodman and John Gallagher Jr. are holed up in a very secure home that has kept whatever is causing hell in the world to not bother them inside.
Winstead is not happy to be contained/restrained and wants to get out. Big. Mistake.
We love a movie that comes out of left field like this, especially because with our eagerness so high to see it… now we only have to wait a month. March 11 will be here before we know it!
