Fast and Furious star (and producer) Vin Diesel took to his Instagram account and set the internet afire today. He unveiled what is the first art (dare we call it a movie poster?) for Fast 8.
When Diesel was on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon back in October, he revealed that the eighth film in the series would take place in New York City (where Fallon shoots). It was an announcement that was met with cheers from Fallon’s audience.
I know what you might be thinking? How can anyone go “Fast,” much less “Furious” on Manhattan streets? Did you see Furious 6? If they can manage car chase scenes on the streets of London, New York City will be a breeze!
Fast 8 is scheduled to hit theaters in April 2017. Judging by Furious 7’s $353 million box office earnings, and $1.16 billion international gross, you’re not alone in being excited for the next chapter.
