Although it is still in the midst of production, Warner Bros. has shared a “smidge” of a trailer for its upcoming and highly anticipated Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The Harry Potter spin-off is currently filming in New York, but filmmaker David Yates (who helmed the last four Harry Potter films) has released the first teaser and it has us drooling with anticipation.
As you can see from the trailer, it stars Eddie Redmayne as a British wizard who comes to the Manhattan with a briefcase full of, well, fantastic beasts. And as co-star Katherine Waterson announces in the below trailer, a few have gotten out.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was written for the screen by JK Rowling (her first screenplay) and also stars Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Colin Farrell, Dan Fogler, Jon Voight and newcomer Faith Wood-Blagrove.
The first of the Harry Potter prequels arrives in theaters November 18, 2016. The film’s poster also premiered! Check it out below.
